PRENATAL YOGA:

Yoga during pregnancy can offer innumerable benefits, including:

- A safe place to practice flexibility and strength building exercises, helping to build and maintain your physical fitness during your pregnancy.

- Learning safe poses and sequences, and learning what to avoid during a home practice or a public class.

- Cultivating an inner awareness - this can include noticing repetitive thoughts concerning fears or apprehensions of pregnancy, labor, birth or motherhood. This can also incorporate the practice of letting go of fears you have no control over, and acknowledging thoughts that may be able to be talked through and resolved before your baby's birth.

POSTPARTUM YOGA:

As a new Mama (or a Mama of a growing family), a little self-care is often just what the doctor ordered. Benefits of postpartum yoga include:

- Learning safe and sustainable poses and sequences to slowly start to rebuild strength (particularly surrounding the pelvic floor and abdominal region).

- Learning poses to slowly and safely stretch and release tight muscles.

- A time to become acquainted with your new postpartum body through movement

- Self-time for you!
